Frontline Pensioners will be paid $1,180 approximately 20 September 2025. Pension payments will be adjusted for inflation, in both price increases and cost of living increases. This will be part of the biannual indexation of the Pension. Solo pensioners will receive $29.70 and Couple pensioners will receive $22.40 for each person.
New Adjustments and Supplements
From 20 September the maximum pension for a single person will be 1,178.70 paid bi-weekly. This amount weaves together the base amount of the pension and its various supplements, the pension supplement and the energy supplement. Couples living together and eligible will also receive a combined payment of $1,777 bi-weekly, meaning 888.50 each. Small supplements are included in the increase which aid in the coverage of basic needs.
Changes in Eligibility Criteria
New and revised income and asset caps also accompany the increase in the pension rate. Income thresholds for both assets and earnings are also modified. For singles the earning cap is now $2575.40 bi-weekly and $3934 for couples. The asset cap for homeowners and non-homeowners has also increased which may widen the number of people who could receive the pension or part-pension.
